For Heritage Music School guitar instructor Gordon Davies, learning to play an instrument is mind expanding. (Link to video). He’s onto something. A multitude of scientific studies draw a clear link between learning to play a musical instrument and increased cognitive abilities.
It’s nice to know that while you make music that’s food for the ears, you can feed your brain at the same time. Just ask any one of our students at Heritage Music School in Fort Langley. They’ll likely give you a smart answer. They’re also likely to tell you learning to play a musical instrument is just plain fun!
Heritage Music School’s instructors offer private one on one lessons in piano, guitar, voice and violin. We offer lessons from university trained teachers to students from ages 5 to 95 plus– and abilities from beginners to advanced. We also give our students an opportunity to showcase their music with two annual recitals. And we stage these at “Canada’s Hottest Live Recording Theatre,” Blue Frog Studios.
Like our Surrey school, uniquely located in the historic Boothroyd Heritage Coffee House at 60 Avenue and 168 Street in Cloverdale, our Fort Langley school offers a similarly safe, convenient and historic location. We’ve even managed to capture a spot with the aroma of fresh coffee in the air. If you’re a parent, your children can learn music while you relax with a coffee, latte or a bite to eat at Wendel’s. Or browse the bookshelves. Or maybe even get caught up on some extra work in a cozy environment.
Registering for lessons is easy. There is no fee and registration is accepted anytime. Getting to the school is easy, too. Our Fort Langley location offers easy access from Langley, Surrey, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Abbotsford and other points in the Fraser Valley. With all this convenience, why wait? We’d love to help you enrich your life with music!
